Terms of Use

The terms you agree to when you use lifeintheuktests.co.uk.

Last updated 23 September 2026.

1. About these terms

By using lifeintheuktests.co.uk (“the site”, “we”, “us”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. This is an independent study site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Home Office, GOV.UK, or any government body.

2. What the site is for

We provide free practice for the Life in the UK Test — mock tests, questions, explanations and study notes — as a learning aid. The site is not the official test, and using it does not guarantee that you will pass. Always confirm the current requirements, fees and booking details on GOV.UK before you book or take the real test.

3. Accuracy of the material

We work to keep our practice material accurate and in line with the official handbook (Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, 3rd edition). We cannot, however, guarantee that everything is complete, current or error-free. The official handbook and the real test are set by the Home Office.

4. Copyright and how you may use our content

The practice questions, explanations, study notes and the design of this site are our own original work and are protected by copyright © lifeintheuktests.co.uk. You are, of course, welcome to use them for your own study.

You may also quote or reproduce our material for editorial and non-commercial purposes — for example in an article, blog post, video or other educational resource — without asking us first, provided you credit lifeintheuktests.co.uk and include a link back to the page you took it from. A clear credit and working link is all we ask.

What still needs our written permission: reproducing the material in bulk (for instance copying whole test sets or large parts of the site), using it commercially, presenting it as your own, or republishing it in a way that competes with this site. Official handbook material referenced here remains the copyright of its respective owners, under the terms of its original source.

5. Affiliate links

Some links to other websites (for example, to buy a copy of the handbook on Amazon) are affiliate links. If you buy through one of them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. This never affects our practice content or which materials we recommend.

6. No warranty and limited liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
